Our Company

In the past sixty years the printing industry has changed dramatically, in some cases leaving previous technologies and equipment far behind and, in all cases, vastly improving quality, flexibility and cost effectiveness. Since 1948, Highland Printcraft has built its reputation on a commitment to blending new technologies with old-fashioned customer service, allowing us to remain a major part of the printing industry within the Region of Waterloo.

Our offset capabilities include a 4-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster, 2 colour and 1 colour presses. We also operate a state-of-the-art digital press and offer complete digital prepress, direct-to-plate and complete bindery services.

As with any successful company, the heart of our business is its people. In 1948 Romaine Taylor opened Highland Press Limited on the corner of Main and Wellington Streets. The business passed on to Romaine's son, Donald Taylor and relocated to Petty Place in 1967. Stephen Taylor became the third generation owner with wife Sandra and relocated the business to our current location in 1990. Our business expanded rapidly and an addition was added in 1995. Chris Taylor, the fourth generation of the Taylor family, is now with the company and many of our employees count their service with Highland in decades.
